Chris Barrett, Recordist/Editor

Chris, our most senior recordist, has established himself as one of the most highly regarded Pro Tools recordists and score editors within film scoring. Bringing with him a wealth of technical and recording knowledge, Chris is an asset to all sessions and much in demand, both at AIR and on external projects.

He has worked with orchestras and choirs for a wide variety of film soundtracks and scores – including Mission: Impossible – Fallout (Lorne Balfe), 21 Bridges (Henry Jackman and Alex Belcher) and IT Chapter Two (Benjamin Wallfisch).

John Prestage, Recordist / Assistant

John joined AIR in 2011 and, since Hans Zimmer’s Interstellar in 2014, has developed an exceptional reputation for speed and precision as a Pro Tools recordist and score editor, as well as being in demand as an engineer and mixer.

Jack Mills, Assistant Engineer

Jack joined AIR in October 2018 from Abbey Road Studios. He works as ProTools Operator and Editor on film, TV and game scores. Recent projects include Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power (Bear McCreary), Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning (Lorne Balfe), Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget (Harry Gregson-Williams) and Migration (John Powell).

Ashley Andrew-Jones, Runner

Ash has been a member of the AIR team since 2017, first joining while studying on the Tonmeister course at the University of Surrey. Since graduating in 2019 he now regularly works as a ProTools Recordist and Score Editor for Film, TV and Video Game projects.
